José Diez has been appointed Policy Director of FIGIEFA, the European federation and political representative in Brussels of the independent wholesalers and retailers of automotive replacement parts and their associated repair chains.
Prior to joining FIGIEFA, José held the position of Head of Public Affairs and Communications at the European Union Road Federation (ERF), organisation for which he worked for almost thirteen years representing the interests of the road infrastructure sector and leading its involvement in several EU funded projects. Before that, he also gained experience in startups, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium, and the European Parliament.
José holds a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law from University of Leicester and a BA in Law with EU specialisation by Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
