We are happy to share with you a new Auto-Motives episode! This time, Álvaro de la Cruz had a chat with Laurianne Krid, Director General of FIA Region I, on access to vehicle data and the recent worrying delay in the legislative process at the European Commission level.
In their joint press conference about the Data Act, Commissioners Vestager and Breton said that Sector-Specific Legislation on access to vehicle data would follow. This is absolutely needed because, for the Data Act to have full effect, this sector-specific legislation is necessary to define technical specifications of the automotive sector requirements. What has changed since then? Why a new delay in bringing digital mobility innovative services to EU citizens?
