This real-life video shows how a manufacturer can use access to vehicle-generated data to remotely diagnose a problem, to interact with the driver, and to guide them to a workshop of the manufacturer’s choice. Unless Independent Operators can get a similar right of access to car data, there is a risk of market distortion.
