FIGIEFA Newsletter Autumn 2025
As 2025 draws to a close, the pace of activity around Europe’s new political cycle continues to accelerate, and FIGIEFA has been working tirelessly to ensure that the Independent Automotive Aftermarket remains firmly on the radar of policymakers. Over the past two months, our team has been active in Brussels and across Europe, contributing to high-level discussions on competitiveness, industrial strategy, data legislation, and vehicle repairability.
From our participation in the Equip Auto 2025 roundtables in Paris to targeted meetings with EU institutions and national representatives, FIGIEFA has continued to advocate for a fair, accessible, and competitive aftermarket. The Council’s vote on the End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation, ongoing debates on the revision of Regulation 2018/858, and the early implementation phase of the Data Act have all placed our core messages —access, fairness, and repairability— at the centre of Europe’s mobility conversation.
As we close the year, FIGIEFA continues to connect members, policymakers, and partners around one shared goal: keeping Europe’s mobility ecosystem open, innovative, and sustainable.
