EQUIP AUTO AND FIGIEFA STRENGTHEN THEIR COOPERATION TO SUPPORT THE EUROPEAN AUTOMOTIVE AFTERMARKET
Brussels & Paris, September 3, 2026 – EQUIP AUTO and FIGIEFA, the International Federation of Automotive Aftermarket Distributors, are joining forces through an institutional partnership for 2026 and 2027. This partnership marks a new milestone and reflects EQUIP AUTO and FIGIEFA’s shared commitment to strengthening ties between European automotive aftermarket stakeholders and supporting the major transformations shaping the market.
EQUIP AUTO and FIGIEFA aim to foster mutual visibility and develop joint initiatives addressing the key challenges facing the sector, including access to vehicle data, digital transformation, sustainability, competitiveness, and the evolution of repair and distribution models.
Recognised as one of the leading voices of the independent aftermarket before the European institutions, FIGIEFA brings a strong institutional dimension to the partnership, together with a European perspective on the transformations currently reshaping the sector.
For EQUIP AUTO, this collaboration forms part of its strategy to expand its international reach and strengthen its role as a leading platform for the entire automotive aftermarket ecosystem.
EQUIP AUTO will also partner with the annual FIGIEFA Conference, to be held in Brussels on November 3 and 4, 2026, and will be the exclusive partner of the networking cocktail held on November 3, 2026.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to strengthening dialogue among European automotive aftermarket stakeholders and actively contributing to the discussions shaping the future of the sector. At a time when the market is undergoing profound transformation, driven by challenges relating to access to vehicle data, digitalisation, sustainability and competitiveness, EQUIP AUTO and FIGIEFA share the conviction that stronger cooperation at European level is essential to provide long-term support to industry professionals and foster the development of an independent, innovative and open aftermarket,” said Philippe BAUDIN, President of the EQUIP AUTO shows, and Mads Engberg (AUTIG – Denmark), President of FIGIEFA.
